Why is this a Prospect Day versus a Showcase?
Players want to showcase their skills in front of coaches, and coaches want to work with and evaluate players in a learning environment so a prospect day is the best of both worlds. This setting will allow for coaches to teach and evaluate in a setting similar to their in season sessions while players get a chance to learn and display their abilities in the same environment they hope to play in.
Seminar Discussion
The world of college recruiting is ever changing with the landscape of higher education, transfer portal, NIL, etc. Student athletes need to be educated on the current process of recruiting instead of making assumptions or getting advice from people that are not in the industry. This seminar will prepare players on the current recruiting process by college coaches, how players should best promote themselves, how to talk with college coaches, and what to expect playing in college. Players will leave this seminar better prepared for what to expect in the recruitment process and what they will experience in college.
